because williams is pretty damned good. if he's not as good as Paul, Paul is only slightly better.

someday, some team will be fooled into thinking Ty Lawson is a good ball player and you'll be having this same discussion. the Bobcats will always be doomed to mediocrity because they'll feel they need to appease a fanbase that consists primarily of deluded Tarheel fans.

the Bobcats would have taken Paul (or Williams) over Felton had either of them been there. that pick had nothing to do with UNC.

Williams is really good, but not as good as Paul. That's how good Paul has been the last 3 months. He's had a season for the ages.

hindsight yes, but to an expansion team, two of the top 13 picks in a draft makes more sense

They do need to stop drafting so many tarheels. I was/am Ok with Felton but May was a reach and plays the same position as Okafor.

they've drafted two. Brandan Wright doesn't count - he was trade bait for Richardson.

Would have been great to have Paul but no, pros shouldn't tank games for draft position. Felton has been good once they left him at PG. Will be interesting to see how he does playing for Brown if he gets all season as the starting PG. Felton was the third PG taken and he's the third best PG in that draft.

Maybe they shouldn't, but they do, all the time.

Do you really think the Bobcats won over any fans by trying those couple of games? Compared to what we would have had had Paul led us to a winning record?

BTW the league had a record number of teams tanking this year. There was so much talk about how many 50 win teams there were in the West, precious little talk about how bad the record of the worst teams in the league was. We won 32 games and finished with the 8th worst record, that's gotta be a record.
