Agree the value at 67 is DT.

Not sure I like the candidates at 74. Consider trading down in the round a bit.

Actually I'd be encouraged if we went DL at 67 and Andre Woodson at 74. I know QB seems like a luxury when we still have so many needs, but the guy has more potential than Basanez or Moore, and Delhomme isn't getting any younger.

i only saw woodson in two games -- against florida and against florida state.

he's the king of the dump-off pass.

He takes what the defense gives him. It's a red flag for me whenever a QB goes to the same receiver time after time, so I like to see someone who spreads it around. I also want someone who doesn't start down his primary receiver and doesn't force things into coverage. Woodson isn't the most athletic guy and his motion is a little slow, but he's not going to fuck you over with turnovers and he has more than enough arm to make all the throws.

Honestly I have no idea why the talking heads keep yapping about Matt Ryan's supporting cast. You think a ton of future pros are coming out of Kentucky? And yet Woodson dominated the SEC. Shouldn't that say something?

Woodson would be decent. I think the major issue with him is his slow release. Its not quite the wind up and pitch like Leftwich but it is pretty slow and it will probably cause some problems in the pros.

With our depressing pass rush, it'd be nice to take Cliff Avril somewhere in the 3rd. His size is hardly impressive, but the guy can get up the field in a hurry (4.5 40). One site has him rated as the 2nd best OLB in the draft, but he was a DE in college.

We could use Brayton as a two-down end then bring Avril in as a situational pass-rusher.

At this point, Im open to anything that can give us a boost to the pass rush.

If we get DaJuan Morgan and a DT (Sims,Bryant,or Moore) this can already be considered a terriffic draft for the Panthers!
