I used the playtex drop ins when my son was born. I was to chicken shit to try and breast feed him. He used them until he got old enough to pull on the plastic then I went to plastic bottles.
When Sheltie was born I breast fed her. I had glass bottles given to me. I had the 4oz and the 8oz sizes and they worked wonders for freezing breast milk. When I stopped breast feeding her at 8 months (she bit me) I used the playtex drop ins until she discovered the plastic was fun to pull on.

Now about make up. Get me in a place where there is nothing but makeup to choose from, I'm like a kid in a candy store. I really don't have a particular brand of makeup I like. As long as it does what it says it supposed to do I'm fine with it. For lip gloss I just use vasaline over the top of the lipstick.
For blush sometimes I use a cheap lipstick. I find it stays on longer then the powdered stuff.

    Great thread idea, Plu!

I'm with AK, but I use the Loreal in the little compact. It doesn't bleed at all, which I really love, is easy to apply just where you want it and stays fresh looking for about half a day. I usually apply in the morning and after lunch, then gloss throughout the day as needed. The compact is shiny silver, so you can use it as a mirror to apply anywhere.

From what I've seen of your pics, you don't need it .

Plu, I use the Rosebud Salve that you gave me and also a cheap pink gloss stuff that doesn't last as long, but gives good coverage.

I love (love, love!) Lancome for foundation. I've tried everything else, but it's all shit compared to Lancome. It's hella expensive here - but I'm considering ordering www.strawberrynet.com as it's half price.

Now, bras. I've been trying to get a good bra fitting - but damn all to hell if the sizing doesn't vary depending on the maker. I go from DD to F (for God's sake!). Oddly, I've had more luck taking a punt and ordering on line. That's fine for the push up stuff, but for just an everyday (comfortable) bra - I'd like opinions. What's a good brand?

It may be sorta ridiculous on the surface for ME to suggest anything about bras to someone with real knockers--but really, my 2 best GFs have massive bazooms, so I learned a little something just being around them (& shopping with them).

The fitting process seems like a waste since there's so much variation between manufacturers; & I imagine that would be even more of a problem in larger sizes. One GF had that done, & still had to try on a range of sizes to find a decent fit.

I think being as small as I am is really an advantage in this realm; but even so, I have specific things I like & dislike in bras, & I have a hell of a time finding exactly what I want. I wind up shopping every possible brand in hopes of finding the right combination. My best luck so far has actually been a discount store no-name brand that only comes in blue & brown--I shit you not! Hanes sometimes comes pretty close too.

It really would be nice to find ONE brand that makes what you like so you can pretty consistently choose the right size. I hope you have better luck than I do.

Throw some of your preferences about styles & fabrics & stuff in here--someone probably has some good ideas.

Now, if anyone knows a good source of B cup all-cotton, semi-low-cut underwire bras that hook in the front with NO metal on them anywhere, in ANY color, without a bunch of fru=fru lace & crap on them--I'd love to hear about it

    okay, i like this thread.

tyra banks had a show on a month or so ago that was devoted to bras. it was funny as hell. anyway most of her audience liked the basic playtex with "added" support on the shoulders. mind you this is not a sexy look (wider shoulder straps) but anyone with a heavier set knows that you need a bra that feels comfortable well into the 17th hour of your day.

i have nothing to add about lipsticks. i wear lip balm a lot. i like the beeswax stuff made by Burt's Bees.

I don't use any lipstick....I use Burt's Bees on my lips because they tend to dry out often. I think it has something to do with the flames that come out of my mouth when dealing with my kids at work! LOL

As for bra's, I completely understand you HG. I used to like a bra by Just My Size, but they stopped making it (just my luck). I ordered some different bras off of the Just My Size online store and finally found one I really like (so I ordered some more of the style). I think a man designs bras and wants to keep us girls from actually being comfortable!!

BTW, isn't there a way to make it so only the girls can see this thread? Or even have Larry make us a girls only section. We gotta have our privacy somehow!
