I'm gonna guess baker will be there, and while that's not the worst option, I believe I'd really as rather have Nicks.

I do believe so. Also note that one of those ends can go as a 3-4 OLB.

I don't think it's at all out of bounds to expect 5 DL and 3 OL to go in the top 12, but I do feel like one will fall.

Maybe I'm getting off on a tangent, but I think that Kansas-Minnesota trade could harm us. Kansas needs an OT, WR and a QB. With that trade they will also need a DE. If they get what they are asking, the vikings 17th and 47th, they will be picking in front and just behind us in the 1st two rounds.

If we end up with Wharton and Gross at the tackles that is not the worst thing in the world. We could even get by with no help on the OL if we had to. We have added some big guys at guard who should help get some push for the run game. IMHO:

    Wharton
    Brown
    Kalil
    Vincent
    Gross

is an upgrade on last year's OL. This is, however, a deep draft for tackles though and if we can get one good enough to force Wharton inside to guard then so be it.

We need help with our pass rush and I do not see where it will come from on our current roster. Even if Peppers returns to form you need more than one guy to bring it.

Thelt: part of the reason we suck in the run game is our tackles aren't very good at run blocking we don't just run behind the center/guard every play.

Nobody here ( likely anywhere ) knows whether otah will suck or not.

Who'd you rather have - Jamarcus Russell, or matt Moore?

I'd rather have Matt Moore. Nobody knew that 365 days ago.

Better not go saying things like that in the Gholston thread.

IMO, that puts them at OT or DE, unless they've given up on Croyle. They got Bowe high last year and I doubt they're crazy enough to go WR two years in a row.

Tackles are not as important to the run game as guards are, especially the LT which is where we are talking about an upgrade.

I really still don't know on Otah. I've had concerns with him, and others have concerns on Williams, who to me seems more ready and less raw (but I've read, alternately, that he's not developed and therefore no more ready).

I'm still good with either, though. I would still prefer, if it's Otah, we get a little more value first.
