such as in the NCAA playoffs, deep down watching those games such as UNC's run...........in the privacy of their own home maybe. do you think Coach K. was rooting for Kansas over UNC??

Wouldn't Duke get some money out of a UNC win?

I think I heard the other day that BB is nothing at all like football in terms of the money. They said that even the teams themselves end up losing money.

I think it depends. Coach K was probably pulling against UNC, which is fine. I know I was pulling against dook for their pitiful little 2 games.
But, I really don't like Clempshun and I was pulling for them because they were an ACC school. I'd pull for any ACC team except dook, and that's probably the way it is with rival schools. (Would be on the fence with State...)

Maybe not in amounts but most conferences have a money sharing deal. That's the real reason each conference wants as many teams in the Dance as possible. I guess it comes down to travel costs, etc as to if a particular team makes or loses money.

But you're not an ACC coach.

I don't think any of the ACC them post here, so I am guessing we can only speculate from what information we have.

I'm not (probably nobody is on this board), but like I said - I think it depends. The further the ACC teams get, the more exposure the entire conference gets, so I would think (as long as the coach isn't a rival of a school) that they would pull for the ACC when they're not directly playing against them.
