    The gospel album release date hasn't been set, so we're sorry if your hopes were up! We are working some things out but are trying our best to get some new material out very soon. The Avetts are just as anxious to record and release records as you guys are to hear them.

    As far as the big NC show - it's definitely happening and we're going to announce it very soon. Promise!

    it's gonna be weird.

    I heard there was one record in the works that was going to be another EP like The Gleam, both in style and shortness.

    And then they're confirming this gospel album, which is supposed to be the Avett Family, not just the brothers. I like the idea but hopefully it doesn't spill into touring too far.

    Their sister can sing, but I think she's rather shy about appearing. (This is just a personal opinion and something off handed Scott made a comment about one time, I have no facts about it) I don't know if Momma can play anything but their Dad is a great musician.

    2) We will be putting out a new record on July 22, 2008. It will be the second in our series of Gleam EPs - entitled (appropriately enough) The Second Gleam. We hope you'll like it!
