Try doing the same instead of crying about how Davidson - DAVIDSON - was given an unfair advantage in the tourney.

Maybe, just maybe, they were a pretty good team.

Edit - The larger point is that I think the brackets tend to work out even though some teams get a break or two. Playing G'town was not a break though.

 

I traveled from the west coast to the east coast and back a lot. If the games were played at 8am EST in the morning, I could see your point, but they aren't.

The game would have been 9:25am their time zone, wow, life has got to suck, playing a fucking basketball game instead of being in class. When you live in Spokane fucking Washington you have to travel a long ways to do anything. I know, I lived there.

You really are making a mountain out of a mole hill on this one, it's just not that big of a deal as you claim.

 

1)Is it "fair" that UNC was able to play 4 games in the state of NC
-Yes 100%. They were the #1 overall and due to that earned the easiest possible path.

2) Was it fair that Memphis had to play Tex in Houston for the E8 game.
- No. This should have never happened. Texas shoulda been made a two in another bracket.

3) Was it fair that Gonzaga was the 7 seed and had to travel 3000 miles to play Davidson (10) in Raleigh?
-yes and no. No because it wasn't right, Yes because Davidson shouldn't have been ranked a 10 seed

 

Depends, and this is just speculation since I don't know the criteria they use for team placement outside of the number 1 seeds.

But if Texas is considered the highest of the #2 seeds and they use the same criteria they use for #1 seeds, then they should have been placed where they were.

But that aside it would have to be a nightmare trying to decide who goes where after the #1 seeds and thats not always clear.

I don't really know, but do they make a public listing of all 65 teams as to how they rank them?

 

Dont think so, Seeding is pretty much arbitrary after the #16s and #1s are made.

I know it's a nightmare of a job, I wouldn't want to do it, you will always having a few teams bitching about it.
