    Cutting 1,200 jobs. They just acquired AmSouth. Do you think they are getting lean so they can be bought? Any rumors in Charlotte?

    Are the cuts just a result of the acquisition? I think AmSouth may actually running the show. Could be wrong though.

    They say Regionsk 'aquired' AmSouth but from my sources it appears AmSouth guys are calling the shots. Yesterday was Black Tuesday and today might bring more.

    how about upper management people I know who work at Regions. I quess that would be a pretty good source.
