May or may not work. My cell phone has to go through a metal detector/scanner every time I come in and out of the building. They can tell what type of phone I have. Not sure if the nuclear facility would scan. I would hope it would.

If they ever ask at your work tell them "Yeah I was afraid of the whole camera deal myself, but the guy at Verizon told me he could disable it for me. So I decided to get that."

That way if you ever get asked the fault can fall back on some anonymous Verizon Wireless employee, and it sounds like the kinda bullshit they feed you when trying to sell you a phone anyways.

Well my two years are up and I am ready to say fuck off Verizon. In my little section of earth Verizons reception sucks. If I stand in my driveway facing north, one leg up tongue out I may get to understand every 5 words. Fuck it I am going with Cingular ATT. Neighbor has it and can talk on his phone from indoors. Their a novel concept. With daughter going off to school, this summer I am going with some family combo plan sharing minutes. I am thinking about getting either a Samsung BlackJack II i617, Samsumg A37, or a LG Shine. Is there any make of phone anyone has had probelms with?

Verizon works best for me in my area, but you gotta go with what works for you.

Personally I just recently got the Voyager.

The Voyager looks similar to the LG I had before. I liked it but it got bulky real fast. I am not a texter so the key board isn't a selling point with me. I want to see the Black jack in person. It would be nice to have a address book handy with me but I am leaning towards a slider phone. Smaller and can be tucked in my pocket. I was curious if there were name brands (LG, Samsung..) that people have had that broke down or didn't deliver

From selling them back in the day, I remember Samsung and LG both made good phones. Motorola too. Now don't get me wrong you can get bad electronics in anything you buy, but you'll probably be safe with any of your choices as far as hardware goes. Just remember you want something that'll access multiple bands and has solid battery life.

I have Verizon for my work cell (BB) and AT&T for my personal cell (samsung blackjack).

    Hands down, ATT is better.
