I have to say, I didn't think I could have seen a worse second half by Duke than I saw against Belomnt on Thursday night. I was wrong - they shoulda called it "shoot a 3 and miss". Plus looked like the players didn't even give a shit. One of the most un-inspiring games by a Duke team I have ever seen. Pathetic.

I guess I'll be pulling for Miami and Davidson for as far as they can make it.

Kshitski needs to be recruiting some athletes. Other than Henderson (and Nelson on occasion) they're just a bunch of unathletic white guys that shoot 3's. If the 3's aren't falling it's over...

I don't think that's why dook kept shooting 3's, I think they kept doing that just because that's all they can do. One trick pony....that is all.

Well that's what WVA and Belmont did and other teams finally staying on the spotup 3pt shooters more.

i wonder if somewhere along the lines he's felt burnt by the guys who leave early and started recruiting guys that will never be nba material. because i can tell that that no one on this team is nba bound except for maybe singler. possibly henderson but i doubt it.

I was looking for information on it, but you know, no one gave Huggins record vs K in any of their articles.

Ok, for those of you too dumb to understand sarcasm, let me spell it out as simply as I can. Dook has sucked for most of the year. K has not coached nearly as well this year as he normally has. At the beginning of the year, he was heralded as an innovator because he instituted a new offense with his mediocre talent. But, when it wasn't working, he didn't make any adjustments. During the last 5-7 games of their season, the jig was up and teams were playing for the kickout. Demarcus Nelson played horribly and Paulus didn't shoot nearly enough. The dook D was about as bad down the stretch as I've ever seen it. Luckily, they were so overrated in the rankings that they got to play a #15 seed in the first round or it would have been one and done in the NCAA's.
And, now, the mantra of a losing team - there's always next year. :woot:

Entirely possible. He may believe he can mold them into a national championship team but from the look of things over the last few years this approach isn't working. Needs to recruit the best he can get and if they leave after one or two years pat them on the back and say thanks for playing. That's NCAA basketball these days....

I am not gloating. Everyone except for 1 team (I am not paying attention to the NIT) ends their season with a loss. Dukes legs gave up.
Time to hit the recruiting trail
