I am just stoked to have 2 capable WRs not named Steve Smith. If Jake can stay up right we might actually have an offense

I like Williams but I'n not sure he's an every down back. The Panthers might get a back that could help in the middle rounds. I would love to get Jake Long from Michigan to help the O line but he will gone long before the Panthers pick.

My opinion or yours does not make much difference. Fox and Hurney think he is an every down back though and that does matter. They released Foster and only brought in a low level guy in Toefield so they plan on DW being our feature back.

None of that means they think he is everydown. What else was out there without overpaying? You seem to think he is an "every down back" and are trying to justify your opinion by interpreting Fox & Hurney's actions (or lack of action). His production early in games against fresh Ds was no better than Foster's. Same is true right after half time when the D has had some rest. Putting up great number in the 4th isn't going to mean a thing if we're already out of the game by then. What is it that leads you to be sure that he is an "every down back"?

state why you think he isn't - if it's because he's too short, or you don't think he's heavy enough, don't bother.

I laid off, so you can consider not bringing it up any further so I won't poke holes in it.

I am hoping Williams can be every down back just to keep us from using a day one pick on RB. But I do remember at least two times last year where Williams was on the sideline huffing O2 after a couple of carries.
