It's not great, but it's not even the worst movie out right now. It's entertaining enough to pay $5 to see it on a big screen.

I think that some of the criticism is earned, like they spend way to much time on the buildup, only to have a quick predictable ending. They also failed to explain who the bad guys were, and quickly hinted in one sentence that they were from atlantis or from the stars. That's interesting to me, as there's more than a few connections to Stargate events, especially since the same guy did that movie too.

I saw a dinosaur skeleton yesterday that pre-dated T-rex by 80 million years and was found in oklahoma. It's in the Raleigh Natural history museum. It was a mix of T-rex and velociraptor, it ate dinos bigger than itself. My theory is that as prey got bigger, it evolved into the T-Rex.

I think the bad guys were the 13th tribe from BSG.

I am definitely going to see this now, when it gets to the dollar theater.

Went and saw this yesterday at the cheap theater. It wasn't nearly as bad as the reviewers made it out to be. If you take it as a fairy tale it was fun. My 8 year old loved it and he has gotten the other two wanting to see it now.
