WORLD HARVEST CHURCH in Columbus: Site of REFGEN:2008 (Yep, I went there in August 2006 while on vacation

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder how many local churches are taking their kids up to Columbus for World Harvest Church/Rod Parsley's REFORMATION GENERATION 2008 (i.e. Revival for Teens). Are events like this (this is one of just many that takes place each year all over the country) really having an affect on teenagers today? Are you seeing more kids willing to stand up and be counted as hard-core Christians in their high schools (especially public ones) O-R are they just going up there because Momma & Daddy told them 'Hey, your not sitting in front of the TV all summer!!!!!!!!!'. They are going to have a whole lot of good speakers & artist up there looking at the lineup . . .

THE BOTTOM LINE: With today's kids getting involved in more crap than ever before (i.e. teenage sex, gangs, drugs, etc.) I think events like this can make a difference. Its going to take a few years for the change to show up in society though (i.e. when these teenagers go off to college, graduate and move into the work force).

sds70, where do you go to church? (if you don't mind me asking)

Have you been to Freedom Christian Center on Freedom Dr. ? If so, what did you think of it?

Pastor Robin Gool (sp?) I've seen him on TV several times through the years - seems like a pretty solid guy. I even went to the (then)new building dedication for an Easter service several yrs ago. Oral Roberts was preaching.

I couldn't tell you how long Freedom Christian Center has been around. I went there to see another guest speaker they were having. It's alot smaller than VCC, but I think, overall, they would have very similar views on scripture - just a different style of delivering the message.
