    I went to the Carrier Dome 3 or 4 times so I practically have an honorary degree from there now.

    The whole 'you have to be an alumnus' to root for a team is just ridiculous.
    Know how many people don't actually graduate from ANY college?
    You're basically saying that 80% of 'fans' aren't truly fans.
    Know how many people have kids or family members that go to a particular school and root for them because of that? You're saying they're not truly fans, either?
    Pro teams don't matter much to me, but if somebody didn't play for that team, does that mean that they're not truly fans??

    I think the whole mentality is just stupid and anybody that follows that kind of logic is an idiot. So, this is for you:

    No, people can root for for whomever they desire. However, when those that did not actually attend the school try to throw a win in someone else's face, there is no jealousy from the other person as was mentioned earlier. We just consider the source and move on.

    no, I don't know how many people don't actually graduate from ANY college. I would assume the answer is MANY.

    anyway, by rule, only those people who didn't graduate from ANY college are allowed to root for the team of their choice. Those who did graduate from college are allowed to root only for their alma mater's team.

    It's all in the manual.

    I'm not upset about anything. I'm just saying anybody who goes along with the 'you didn't go there, you can't be a fan' mentality is an idiot.
