I am back on track now. I am back down to 241 lbs. this morning. I would find myself starving to death late in the day. I had my doctor's appointment and I was basically at the same weight I was back in November. He prescribed me Glucophage. I tried it once before but I was taking it in the morning. He told me to take it in the evenings before dinner. I have done that it and it has made a big difference. I still get hungry but not starving.

I am basically a "pre diabetic" and this stuff helps with insulin resistance. Apparently insulin makes you hungry and when you are resistant your body makes more than necessary to try and make up for the resistance. This makes you hungry. The meds have helped with this a lot. I can stick to my diet now.

Very cool! My dad was on glucophage for a while after he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I'm really glad you're fighting this now, Thelt, rather than waiting until something bad happens. Good for you, and good for your family. :xyxthumbs:
