    I wouldn't sign Sims.

    Per Wikipedia --

"For the 2007 season, Sims replaced Robert Gallery as the starter at left tackle. He is infamously known by raiders fans as a "false-start machine," even jumping offsides in his team's own stadium, often at crucial times during the game. It is believed that he is too slow to protect against most of the NFL's rushing defensive ends, and that this is a reason for him jumping offsides so often as well as committing numerous holding penalties. As of week 12, Sims is the most penalized player in the NFL."

On Sims - So much for a cheap answer at tackle.

Gallery is a good reason not to trade up and pay for the sure thing LT. I'd rather pay Gross than a total unknown.

I'd rather take a chance in a later round, or lower in the first ( wharton was a third, but so was Butler ). If the player can't cut it, we have Wharton and Gross. If the player can, we have a cheap rookie contract, and can maybe let Gross go instead of paying out a butt-ton.

    damn

and he didn't sign for a ridiculous amount, either. Would've been nice to have had him at RG.

Makes me wonder is there aren't big questions about him since he wasn't exactly a hot commodity to begin with.

Makes me think Hartwig has a future at RG this year for us.

A lot of people were questioning wether the Indy O-lineman would look good outside of their particular scheme. At least a lot of people in the media and such. I couldn't tell you how they'd look, but I think that might be why people weren't running after him.

That can't be Boise. Boise's turf is blue.

I doubt they hosted NFL coaches outside in Idaho at this time of year. Especially when trying to make their players look as good as possible.
