oh well

Wow - didn't realize it was that bad. I did notice the team (including Danny Green) blocking like crazy, but still didn't realize it was 1/3 of their 2 point shots. I've said all year that against dook, a team can't collapse down on defense. Play solid man and dook won't beat you with layups. They just don't take it to the hole very strong. They drive with the intention of kicking it out, and if they have to lay it up, well, they'll get 1/3 of their shots blocked.
UNC played a good game.
I think it's really funny that all those dookies camp out in tents for 5 days and paint their bodies and do their orchestrated chants (because that's so cool) and then have senior night WRECKED for the third straight year.

 

He hit 4 in the first half. Where did he go after that? He can't make ONE in the second half??
Gotta credit dook's lack of getting him the ball and UNC's tightened up defense for that one.

I watched the game again last night.
Dook had the same game plan as when they played in Chapel Hill (notice the same number of 3 point attempts). Drive, draw, dish like WYDD said above. This time UNC played better defense and dook missed some shots. (only made 10 of the 29 instead of 13 of the 29 in Chapel Hill.)

I have to say that Roy's game plan was much better than K's because Roy didn't let the same thing happen as in Chapel Hill. He may talk like a country bumpkin at times, but he knows how to coach in big games and get the kids to execute the game plan. He also doesn't curse every other word like dicK, which I think is extremely admirable.

 

3 less three pointers. 9 points. Chapel Hill won by 8. Interesting.

If you really think that's all the game came down to, then you didn't watch the game or look at the box score or didn't really do anything at all.
How about Tyler's 4 of 9 free throw shooting in the first game and complete lack of FT's attempted in the second?
How about Danny Green/Ellington's complete lack of being in the game in the first and actually played well in the second?
How about UNC's defense being better in the second game?
How about dook disappearing for the last 3 minutes of the game?

Any of that matter or was it just those 3 missed 3's?
