    I doubt it was his idea to get rid of McInnis. I am just guessing, but probably came from the front office.

    The most impressive thing about this streak is that it happened without Wallace. I thought they were good enough to make a playoff run this year but Vincent kinda screwed it up.

    I thought the Nets had the 8 spot, and the Bobcats are 2 games behind the Nets

    What is sad is that the current 8th seed in the east is 26-36. I am sorry, but I don't think any team under .500 should be in the playoffs.

    The east is so pathetic they should bring over Western Conference teams. Portland isn't even going to make the playoffs and their coach is up there for coach of the year the west is so tough. They'd be like a 5th seed in the east

    The Bobcats in theory could still make a run for the 8 spot but they have a lot of tough road games ahead. If they stretch the win streak to 10 then you can start to talk.

    At Houston
    At Cleveland
    At Memphis
    At Indiana

    Five straight road games with three teams who would make the playoffs if it ended today.

    You will know if they have turned the corner soon.

    Agreed, they will need to go at least 3-2 in these 5 games.

    I actually read that the NBA is thinking about picking the top teams overall (without respect to east and west) for the playoffs, potentially as early as next year. I think it'd be a great idea. The east really needs to just be shut down and start over...
