Whats your point? While the verse was talking to people committing adultery, it was also addressed to people living in their sins.

First you take a literal translation of the Bible when it says homosexuality is a bad thing, then you get creative on the issue of adultery and sin. Now who's believing what they want to believe?

First off, Im not being double-sided on this....Im against homosexuality, adultery, and sin. Second, Im never got creative on what I believe or dont believe. You're just manipulating what Im saying in order to make everyone seem that you're winning the argument.

OK...Lets break the verse down very carefully.

James 4:4 - "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

Paul addressed the adulterers and aduteresses, fornicators in their own right....that friends of the world are enemies with God. After that, he addresses the entire world with the word "Whosoever" and reinterates the same point regardless of the sin.

Again, quite cut and dry in that you cant live in sin via a homosexual relationship, turn around and "accept Christ", and then turn right back around and continue that same, sodomite relationship. Its the same as a drunkard who has no aspirations of quitting - saying he "accepted Christ as saviour", and continues drinking.

    Matthew 7:17-20

"Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

I'm not manipulating what you're saying to try to win some argument. This is a debate. I'm not even trying to make you change your beliefs, because I wouldn't necessarily appreciate anyone doing the same to me.

All I'm doing is criticizing your argument. You went from a literal translation from Leviticus (I think) to pulling homosexuality from a verse from James where only adultery is mentioned. I wouldn't ride you so bad about it if you didn't keep saying stuff like 'The Bible is clear on' this or that or the other. Where it's not clear, you're imposing your own translation, which means you're doing exactly what you've suggested the rest of us are doing - believing what you want to believe.

I have no problem with your stance on homosexuality or anything else. I admire your willingness to defend what you believe. Doesn't mean I have to agree, though.

But again, reference to that verse again...He addresses the adulterers, then reinterates the same point to everyone regardless of what sin they're committing. You're just looking at the adultery part and not looking at the rest of the verse where Paul reinforces what he stated to the adulterers.

And if you want to see a New Testament version of Leviticus 18:22 read Romans 1:18-32.

Being gay is a CHOICE. It's not something that is written into your DNA.
If a Christian chooses to commit sin, that doesn't make that person any less of a Christian in God's eyes. God accepts a person as His child when they accept Him as their savior.
    Nothing else matters.
