First, Christ did not say that in 1 Peter 3:9 it's 2nd Peter 3:9 and Peter is speaking to the believers, not Christ. The promise he's speaking of is the return of Christ. The passage is not speaking of the salvation of unbelievers, but the patience of believers waiting for Christ's return.

Second, even if it were the verse you quoted and it was presumably Christ speaking, are you going to tell me you would establish a process of faith based on the wording of one verse? If you're going to quote verses, at least try to quote them in the context they're being used in.

Even so, repentance is a process, but not required for salvation. Faith in Christ is the only thing required for salvation.

Then explain II Corinthians 6:17 for me...

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye seperate..."

If it may not be a prerequisite, it has to be a postrequisite. But to remain in sin doesnt show of true repentence. You cant have it both ways, to be homosexual and be Christian at the same time.

Why don't you read the scripture in context.

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."[c]
    17"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
    Touch no unclean thing,
    and I will receive you."[d]
18"I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

I am reading the verse in its' context. To come out from among them (the lost, the world) and be seperated from them. That seems quite clear to me.

    Romans 3:10

"For there is none righteous, no not one." (That's everyone)

Job 14:1 - "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble."

    No, you cant.

James 4:4 - "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
