There is 0% question that some people choose to be gay. How many is up for debate, as the science hasn't indicated anything to suggest that homosexuality is strictly genetic. Gay groups love to repeat that as if it's truth, but nothing remotely of the sort has been proven.
Homosexuality itself having an evolutionary purpose seems exceedingly unlikely.
That is also completely untrue. Some people do choose to be gay. Maybe you didn't want to, although you sure seem like you're proud of it. Ultimately, though, the Bible is clear on the issue whether or not you think the Bible is wrong (maybe it is, who knows?).

That makes absolutely no sense. Because Jesus was crucified, now nothing is a sin?

Yes, there has to be a choice somewhere in their life that they would choose to do something that isnt normal. Its the same way of a criminal. Criminal activity isnt inherited, its learned and performed.

As I've been told all my life from God-fearing parents...."God doesnt change to fit your life, you should change your life to fit God." And when it comes to who wrote The Bible....it was God, using men like Paul, Moses, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc.. to transcribe for Him. Who else would pull out a brand new quill everytime they would write the names of God (Jehovah, Jesus, The Lord, The Alpha and Omega, Christ, etc..) on to the papyrus? While it might have been personally penned by men, it is the words of God himself...God, the boss, gets his words dictated by his secretaries (Paul, Moses, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc..)

If being against homosexuality because its religiously, unnaturally, immorally wrong - makes me intolerant. Fine. Not everyone has to accept it, including your Maker. If you cant change the minds of those who dont accept it, what makes you think God's gonna change his mind? Last time I read in The Bible, "Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever."

If God has saved Sodom and Gomorrah for 10 righteous men, would the city have been any less sinful?

Is homosexuality so big a sin that it causes the grace of God through faith in Jesus to be insufficient.

God's grace isnt insufficient. There's enough to wipe out any and every sin. Instead, it's about the sinner turning away from his sin and accepting the gift of eternal life. While it is free to all who accept it, in return it places the responsibility of the new convert to live the seperated, Christ-like life.

So, are you telling me this is what you do and you no longer sin?

No, Im capable of sin....Everyone is capable of sin.

I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

To answer the thread title, which I failed to previously, it is possible to be gay and be a Christian. I've known or known of several over the years.

    So there. Argument ended.

So you believe that you can have your cake and eat it too? You believe that you can still remain in sin and follow Christ at the same time?

Now you're implying that Christians are without sin if they follow Christ. Sorry, man, you're fooling yourself if you think that's true. It's a journey, not a destination.

I dont imply that Christian is without sin. I do imply that a Christian is one that has accepted the gift of eternal life, has turned away from their sin and is seperated from the world. And if you read I John 1:9, it says that we can be forgiven of sin if we confess it.
