Many teams have said "NO!" to signing Barry Bonds, the latest being the Padres....will any team sign him?

I'd be shocked if several teams didn't try to sign him. The question is, though, will he accept any low-ball (and realistic) offers, especially outside of the Bay Area? It'll take something huge to get him out to New York or Boston or Detroit. I think teams want to sign him, it's just a question of whether or not he'll actually sign.

you have to remember the question was will any team sign him? I'm not saying that they will not make offers, but who wants that kinda guy in their clubhouse and the baggage that he will bring?

Most teams would put up with everything he brings to the table, because along with all the headaches, he brings a ridiculously SLG% and OBP. And, in response to your question, I think someone will sign him, although it may not be until later in the 2008 campaign.

He's just trying to get those last 60-70 hits to get to 3000 hits.

A lot of guys do that. Hell, Wade Boggs got his 3,000th playing for freaking Tampa.

I agree with ALCentral...someone will sign him to be a DH once the season gets started and the division races start to take shape.

Someone would sign him if he was willing to take a small contract, but he isn't.

    From MLBTraderumors:

No one wants Barry Bonds. He's in game shape, but one exec Andrew Baggarly talked to has heard no rumors at all. Baggarly has talked to some baseball officials who believe Bonds might play in Japan in 2008. Now that would be something.

The one team that could use the asshole is the White Sox. If he has any bang left, the Pale Hose could use it.
