I didn't hear any UNC fans complaining about the FT difference in the Dook-BC game. It wasn't as much as the Carolina-Clemson matchup but it was a bit one-sided as well.

    33-13 in favor of Dook.

this may surprise you, but sports keep statistics for a reason, one of them is to be able to determine what happened in a game. yes i watched the game you fucking imbecile, i also looked at the box score, and can deduce from both the game and the box that 43 free throws were attempted in the game, and 86% of them were taken by unc...i dont care who wins the next duke-unc game, i just hope duke takes 86% of the total free throws in the game so i can hear you idiots bitch about it.

"Officials at Clemson are aware that because the Tigers settled on taking a lot of jump shots that fouls weren’t going to be called as much.

However, they feel that it still doesn’t account for what they view as non calls, particularly against North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough on defense and while going for rebounds.

There were several instances in which Hansbrough was his typical bull-in-a-china-shop self, but nary a whistle was blown. "

Yeah so every time that is a huge statistical advangtage in FT, it has to always be the refs.:trophy:

It can certainly be nothing to do with the fact that UNC doesn't play defense, so if you don't play D you aren't going to foul any where near as much as a team that plays tough D. How many times before this game has NON UNC fan on this board talked about UNC sucking and not playing D? One of the things talked about in publications was how aggressive and the game plan for Clemson to play as aggressive on D as possible, nope, not fiction, true story there.

UNC is primarily a team that scores from inside shots where as Clemson is a 3pt shooting team, much like dook. It's only logical that UNC is going to get fouled more. Hell, let me say it again UNC sucks at playing D, I wish it weren't true, I wish they were out there playing as tough on D and Clemson as Dook.

Also, if the refs were as bad as you claim, I would think at least one of the major non biased sports publication would have made mention of it somewhere.

Lastly one easy way that Clemson could have doubled their FT total for the game, make the first fucking FT of a 1 and 1. You do realize what that means right? If a team that is shooting a 1 and 1, misses the first, they don't get to attempt the 2nd shot that was awarded. So go to your fucking cry hole and cry about clemson shooting 1-7at the FT line, where they could have had 5 or 6 more attempts and never gone to overtime. Hell if UNC had shot that percentage they would have had a lot less attempts as well.

Every game there are always a few questionable calls each way. But this game was called correctly, there wasn't some huge ref conspiracy to give UNC 15 more calls than Clemson. Hell you can't name one instance of this in the game other than crying and looking at the fucking boxscore.

Hell at least when I bitch about a bad call from refs, I can point to the specific plays.

ok, so 36-12 if they hit the front end, no discrepancy there, that clears it all up, thank you rocket scientist. and if your theory is true, why does clemson average 19 free throw attempts per game, yet shoot 7 agaisnt carolina in the dean dome, i bet you'd have to look back a ways to see the last time clemson only shot 7 free throws, but thats irrelevant too.

and i'm not the one crying, you are, you sound like a little bitch writing 17 paragraphs justifying why your team gets 5x the amount of free throws as their opponent, yet still barely wins the game.

It all boils down to the last 3 words in your message. Who actually wins the game. Focus more on what can be controlled in the game (offense/defense, controlling the clock, who takes shots and from where, etc.) and less on what can't be controlled - like injuries and calls. Those things are going to happen - live with it and move on.
There's 5 pages of 'foul' conversation.... (pun intended)
