I agree with Hasbeens - especially with regard to the Protein intake. I found (as Hasbeens noted) that frozen vegetables are especially good not only to go with your main meal, but as a good snack when you need something to fill you up. I know that it's especially difficult in the first couple of weeks - your tummy hasn't shrunk and it's used to a lot of food to fill it up to feel satisfied. I got (and am in) a really good headspace, and that is crucial for me. I have to admit, that the first month I was completely food obsessed (I didn't cheat, but I thought about it a lot!).

I'm not sure what programme you're on Thelt, but have you thought about having calorie limited shakes as designated snacks, when you get home from work? That might help tide you over before dinner. Sorry if you're already doing this - I wasn't sure ;).

Good luck everyone - some great losses here .

Thanks too Hasbeens and JB - yea, it feels great. Another five down - :drummer:.

I'm in a program at the Y that helps you build muscle, so I'm not sure if weight loss is going to be significant. I hope it is to a degree. Anyway, I'm down 2.5 pounds since 1/19.

    2/4 - 222.5

I've changed my eating habits for the better, too.

I have sort of changed strategy towards what we talked about. I am eating a lot of higher fiber stuff especially for breakfast. That does seem to hold me longer than other stuff I have tried. I have also started eating a lot of frozen dinner's for supper. It is not that they are so healthy but that they help me realize what my portion size should be. I have been shooting for about 1500 calories per day.

I have not seen a lot of weight loss yet from the changes but I do feel like I have more control now.
