Can You Be Gay and a Christian ? ? ?

The problem is that a large segment of people are attempting to change Christianity and make it so that homosexuality is not considered a sin at all anymore. That's why I made the allusion to adultery, because it's not suggesting that homosexuals should be stoned or exiled or anything of that sort, but at the same time it's absurd that liberals are attempting to force Christianity to accept homosexuality simply because that lifestyle has become p.c.-protected.

 

I think a lot of that has to do with not understanding homosexuality at all. They just take the Bible's (written by men) word for it and their daddy's word for it and assume all those gay folk out there got up one morning and declared 'BY GUM I'M GOING TO BE A HOMOSEXUAL FROM NOW ON!'.

 

What do you mean when you say "not understanding homosexuality"?

 

That its not a choice.

 

Do you think pedophiles have a choice? I only ask because I've heard this as a defense of both.

 

Yes, because they are forcing themselves on children, who are either powerless or who are innocently ignorant. Whether pedophiles can control their feelings is up to debate, but they should damn well know that unless the other person is a consenting adult, its wrong.

 

The choice that homosexuals make is going to a church that clearly states it doesn't condone that lifestyle.

 

I'm not talking about or condoning what people do as homosexuals or heterosexuals. But being homosexual isn't a choice. And if they want to go to a church that doesn't condone homosexuality, that's on them.

 

You know I respect you so all I'm going to say is that at some point you're going to have to either accept or reject the Bible as God's word. You seem to believe parts, then reject other parts as written by men.

 

Is it really all or nothing? I hope not.
