    Yep. I know several couples that ship their kids off to other folks houses with babysitters and host Wii parties.

    Now damn, if Wii could come up with some really adult games....

    Ironically enough (or not, considering the overwhelming anecdotal evidence) I just got back from a vacation with my family. One cousin brought her wii, while both other cousins had wiis. My aunt and uncle played a little bit with everyone. Now, granted, my uncle had an intellivision back in the day, and my little cousin had a NES. However, I was the only videogame junkie of the bunch.

    I certainly wouldn't expect any of my cousins to have wii last year. I think one even found one before I did in a store. If only I had known, she could have shipped one to me.

    Rock Band won't be coming out on Wii though (at least it's not planned.) It is strong enough to run the PS2 version, obviously. But, the PS2 version uses the PS3 instruments. For EA to put out Rock Band on wii, it would have to manufacture all new instruments. I suppose as well as Guitar Hero III is selling on wii though, they should consider it.


    edit: My family probably would have shit themselves if I had been able to bring up Rock Band and show them. My uncle loves karaoke. But, the setlist probably wouldn't be as enjoyable to someone in their 50s+ (they are in their mid-60s.) My cousins would have loved it though.

    they haven't made an official announcement, but supposedly the head of harmonix said something like "absolutely" when asked if there'd be a wii version. but you bring up a good point about the peripherals. of course, if they expected to sell them, it wouldn't be an issue. hopefully gh3 will show them they'd be okay.

    I have my gf addicted to Guitar Hero III. We are the Warlox. I don't think she would go for clitcicle. I like it though. Rock band is next.
