MASN had a nice documentary on the State 1983 team last night. Had interviews with all the players etc. Didn't know both Valvano and Whittenburg both had the flu and that Lorenzon Charles was actually in the wrong spot when that "pass" came to him under the basket.

Actually Valvano said it was a huge screwup on is part because he didn't expect Houston to come out of the timeout in that attacking zone. Luckily for him and State, it worked out.

I especially liked the way Gannon tackled that one Houston player and didn't get called for a foul. In fact, the Houston player was called for the charge. That was earlier in the game. During the documentary, Gannon chuckled about that play.

you really are a dork sometimes. please explain the spin.

do you not agree that the ACC has become very top-heavy? You're just being argumentative.

You spun your first post. That 'what the fuck is there' team has beaten 3 of your precious BE teams, so in your terms, that makes them even shittier than one of the shitter ACC teams.

again, you're a dork. what does the Big East, precious or otherwise, have to do with anything?

I know you like to think that there's the ACC, way up here, and there's everyone else, way down there. It just isn't so. sorry to burst your bubble.

I'll say it again. You have UNC and Dook, two very good teams, and a bunch more than are average or shitty. do you disagree?

Everything apparently, since YOU brought it up in the first place, nimrod. Here, let me remind you:

Sorry to burst yours, as I've never disagreed with you. You just want to think I have because your mantra is to start threads to stir people up

I don't disagree. All I've said is that State (ACC) is 3-0 against BE teams. You have clearly demonstrated the lack of quality teams in the ACC. I'm merely extending your argument to the Big East.

that I cited three former big east teams is merely coincidental. It wasn't meant to say they regretted joinging the ACC because it's a shitty conference, but rather that they're doomed do play second fiddle to Duke and UNC every year. Had they remained in the Big East, where there's at least some degree of parity, they'd at least have a fighter's chance of winning.

you need to do something about this obsession with the Big East -- it's not as bad as you think. The ACC manages to hold it's own against the Big East come tournament time, at least until the later rounds.

    Of course it was.

    Not arguing with that.

My obsession with the Big East equates to your obsession with the ACC.
