He is a good player without a doubt, but not a superstar to carry a team.

I realize they aren't that far out of the 8th spot, but there are several teams fighting for that same spot. I do agree if not for the bad start they could easily make the playoffs.

Despite all of this, you could throw a grenade into some sections of the lower level on a weeknight and not hurt anybody.

He could/should have easily gone somewhere and helped a contender win a championship.

I am glad he stayed. The Bobcats may be contenders before too long. They have some good players on board now and should have the cap space to get more help in the off season.

Gerald Wallace 21.5 ppg (20th in the league)
Gerald Wallace 2.2 steals per game (5th in the league)
Jason Richardson 20.3 ppg (29th in the league)
Emeka Okafor 10.1 rebounds per game (13th in the league)
Emeka Okafor 1.82 blocks per game (13th in the league)
Raymond Felton 7.1 assists per game (10th in the league)

    Not a bad base....

We need a backup PG who doesn't suck (McInnis sucks), another big man and a guy who can get his own shot off the bench.

May and Morrison's return might fill those last two (I'm somewhat doubtful) but we do need a backup PG and to stop screwing around with Felton's role on the team.

They are playing good basketball lately. They have another big man in Mohamed but they bring him off the bench. I think the biggest problem is that they are so small. Felton and McInnis are both point guard yet they both start. Wallace and Richardson are both best suited to shooting guard or small forward yet Wallace has to play the 4. Okafor is solid at the 4 or 5 but needs help.

I still think the line up of

    1. Felton
    2. Richardson
    3. Wallace
    4. Okafor
    5. Mohamed

is the best one they can field. If they must have two small guards then find one better than McInnis.

If they are insistent on going small

    Felton
    Carroll
    Richardson
    Wallace
    Okafor

    isn't that bad
