Fair enough. I think it's a good thing that schools other than the traditional power teams are landing talent. Keeps the games interesting and lets little 'ol poor Charlotte compete with the big boys.

I still think the Heels should play at least one game a season in Carmichael. It doesn't have to be a big ACC game either, make it a early season out of conference game. The powers that be probably wouldn't want to lose the revenue though.

Now you're saying Sidney doesn't feel enough pride. I don't believe that. I think he's treating these guys like they're NBA players, and in the NBA the coaches take a backseat to the players. Sid needs to bench some of these guys to show them they aren't greater than the team.

I still don't think facility has anything to do with it.

you don't think he may have a little more pride if he coached on the floor he played on, help win a National Championship on and where Jimmy V spent many years on? Sid feels enough pride, don't get me wrong, but I think their may be more passion in the team and players?

An NBA style offense doesn't explain last year and the poor defense this year. I'm not saying the facility does either, but something has got to change.

No. These players know nothing about all that.

Agreed. I wasn't speaking of the scheme. I was speaking of player management in college vs. the NBA.

I doubt that. But there is more significant history there, nonetheless.

Well, I should say too that more recent success plays a part in that. Even if State players know the history, it may not mean anything to them. I mean, I don't care if, for example, Notre Dame is a great football program in college history. They suck now, right? That kind of thing.

The 90's were brutal for N.C. State. When Corchianni and Monroe, Gugliotta left they went to complete hell. What's even more crazy is the kids they are recruiting now weren't born in the 80's. They went to like 5 straight NIT's with Sendek before getting over the hump. They had modest success and a Sweet 16 but nothing more than that. Reynolds was awesome to watch a game in.
