    20 years is recent history in college basketball.

    Well obviously removing some of the best teams in ACC histiry does make it much easier to prove your case.

    Using current conference alignment:

    15 titles for the pac-10
    10 titles for the SEC
    10 for the Big East
    10 for the ACC
    8 for the Big 10
    4 for the Big 12

    So, I guess the Pac-10 is best basketball conference of all time.

    Well, so am I supposed to just use the ACC histiry to prove they are the best?

    Sure you can bend the time line to whatever you want to get the results in the ACCs favor, but you asked who has been as consistenly good, I'd say 15 years is pretty consistent.

    You could also argue who has the most Final Four appearances. I mean if 2 conference teams played each other for a championship, it means a lot, but is not reflected in the championship count.

    Has Duke/UNC ever met in the Final Four? I know every year it seems people anticipate it but I don't remember it happening. Also, has there ever been an all ACC NCAA tournament title match? Just curious.
