Other than Mich/Fla and Wisc/Tenn, the Bowl games have failed to impress me so far. I am a Penn State fan and I was kind of bored by that sloppy assed game.

Something needs to be done about the hiring process in the NCAA. These coaches leaving when they have Bowl games to play is bullshit. There is no integrity being taught anymore...because it has become a business.:furious3:

Why is it that people expect some higher ceiling of standards in sports than in society? Sports is a business, plain and simple.

If so, why don't the players get paid?

I get what you're saying, my problem is with the lack of integrity in business infecting sports. Sports and busines has become the little brother of church and state, the lines have been blurred.
To me the ceiling of standards needs to be raised in society, not lowered in sports. It's still a game at heart and there are kids that are effected by these decisions who get no say.
Honesty and integrity are an endangered...nearly extinct species.

Are you retarded? On what planet does choosing Illinois over Georgia generate more money? That's idiotic. The Rose Bowl is going to sell out regardless, but obviously Georgia would be the pick if it was just about the highest profile and best traveling option. They chose tradition over a better match-up, not money.

    McFly41 - are you dreaming?

We live in a free society that believes in capitalism.

If someone wants to change jobs then so be it.

    Wake up.

However, you do make one good point - collegiate sports is big business and the players don't get to share in the majority of the revenues .... hmmmmmmm....

The education is worth a lot, but they should get something more of a stipend for personal use.
