They are an honest to goodness photo shop and have been in business for a long time and I can honestly say I have never had one single problem with them from my film days up until now. I have also heard stories that their return policies are top notch as well. I have always found their prices to be very good and they are prompt in their shipping. They observe ALL of the jewish holidays so it's very possible they can be closed when you want something, but they put that info on their web site and are very good about telling you their schedule. Check them out. I won't do any of the other NY photo stores except them when I need something.

Review:

I am a wedding photographer and a Canon lover. I would
NOT recommend this camera to anyone who needs to take
several pictures quickly. It's great in general, but once you've
taken about 20 consecutive pictures, the camera will freezes
up for about 10-15 seconds between each picture. Canon
says this is to protect the flash. I am selling mine to get
another camera that will work for me.

Problems I encountered with this item:

I think there's some exaggeration there. Sure, if you run through a ton of shots with the onboard flash, eventually it'll have to catch up, but it won't take 20 seconds. If that's a huge problem (you won't be taking long bursts of shots with Z) then the solution is an external flash unit with its own power - which is likely something you'd eventually upgrade to anyway.

It doesn't have much to do with the flash... It's called the buffer size and this is pretty much standard shooting ability on most prosumer cameras. Let's say you fire off those 20 shots real fast... they are not all being recorded to the card right as you click the shutter. Normally, you shoot, then some milliseconds later, the image is recorded to disk but for the mean-time, the image sits in the buffer. When you fill the buffer up firing off 10,000 shots all fast like, it must stop bc it gets full. Mine can "freeze" up for anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds depending on the size I'm shooting. BUT, I've had this happen MAYBE once or twice bc if you're a decent photographer at weddings then you shouldn't be machine gunning that shit in the first place... sorry, for the bitch ass reply... but captain douche bag doesn't seem to know what's up.

You're gonna find that there are always people like that with opinions to match their egos. Sometimes they're good photographers, sometimes they're not. I've been doing this for 30+ years now from film to being a newbie at digital. The basics are still the same. I have turned down lots of weddings because I ain't built for them and the stress they can bring. Besides, I wouldn't charge them enough for what it's all worth. I've done plenty of other things though and my present job requires that I am a photographer on a daily basis.

My only suggestion if you are going to take this craft and try to do something with it, is take the time to learn photography in "manual" mode. Put whatever camera you get on manual and learn the relationship between shutter speeds and f stops - you won't regret it.
