    I saw the video. He was pulling him off the pile. I have no problem with it. Refs step in to stop fights all the time in boxing and mma.

    Pretty sure the refs that do it all the time don't wrap their arm around someone's neck and slam them to the ground. What happens when a Pro Bowl player gets injured by a $12/hour part time official?

    arm around the neck with a take down from behind? Cuz that IS what happened. Barnett actually said he couldn't breath a little and he didn't know how the guy got up under the face mask. Maybe you're downplaying what happened.

    He pulled him off the pile by putting his arm around the guys neck but it hardly looked like a choke hold to me. He pulled the guy back and he basically fell to the ground. If Barnett had not been doing something he should not have been doing the ref would not have need to pull him back.

    When players can get fined for wearing the wrong socks, then everyone on the field should be accountable somehow, including the officials. They have a hard enough job as it is, and should be full-time, but that's another discussion. There is very little accountability for these assholes that can influence the outcome of games with truly horrendous calls or non-calls.

    At least the guy didn't call Barnett "boy." :11:

    i thought what the ref did was bullshit when i was watching the game, and on the replay i think the ref went too far... i think there's more to it though

    Regardless of whether or not the ref crossed the line, Barnett is being a pussy about it.
