    Charlotte joins Big East in 2016, or a league that does not exist yet cranks up. CUSA is too spread out, the A10 has misfits, and the Big East will eventually be a 12 team league. There will be another major conference realignment in the next 5 years. This time, we will have our ducks in a row.

    And for all you doubters...pay attention to who is driving the 49er football wagon. He's no slouch.

    Charlotte and USF were identical schools and athletic programs (in the same conferences- Sunbelt, Metro, CUSA for 25 years) until USF started football.

    we will carbon copy what USF did

    Wrong....UNCC doesnt get out of the A10 or SoCon for a while because they wont have the team to compete for a national title in FCS/Division I-AA.

    You have a double helping of retard sandwiches today?

    That has nothing to do with when a team switches from 1AA to 1A. The bigger issue is the moratorium on new 1A teams that lasts for the next several years. In some ways, it's perhaps helpful for Charlotte as it will allow them to get a program up and running.

    I really hope we're in a position to be in the BE/New Conference, but we're still a lap down on that race. We can make it up, but it's gonna take a lot of work and some breaks.

    I hope for our sakes that Mac stays involved for the long haul. He does make things happen.
