They needed a big man and they were not going to get one unless they did something like this. I predict the gets lots of playing time and probably starts. He may not put up big stats but he will help out.

Wow, you don't know basketball either. What exactly are you qualified to speak about? Maybe you and Thelt can start your own message board exclusively for retards.

Look, dumbass, Mohammed's contract isn't one of the worst in the NBA, but that alone is not evidence of this being a good trade, and anyone who uses that rationale to endorse it is beyond stupid. As PP noted, this adds an additional $22 million to the payroll over the next three seasons when Brezec and Herrman would have been coming off the books after this one. They're adding unnecessary salary and thereby hurting the future of the club. Why do you think Detroit even did the deal? It wasn't because they really wanted Brezec or Herrman, it was to get out from under Mohammed's contract. So if getting rid of him was the biggest plus in the deal from their perspective, how is adding him good for the Bobcats?

    Thelt:
Ignorant retard, the Bobcats were going nowhere this year regardless. It was a lost season, and it makes no sense to try and win maybe 2 extra games at the cost of $22 million over the next three years. For all intents and purposes, this year is over for Charlotte. D-O-N-E. Making a stupid move that probably doesn't help this lost season anyway, but definitely hurts the future of the club, is not the way to go about building a winner. It was a silly, inexplicable decision that has been mocked by every NBA site on the planet who even cared enough to notice.

Have to agree with Collin on this one. Muhammed sucks, and has always sucked bar one or two good years before he got his contract. He's a LOT worse than Jamaal Magloire, for instance.

I hate this deal, even moreso after reading the contracts. I felt like we were lucky to have Herrmann still after Morrison got hurt, but Vincent for some reason never played him. Brezic never recovered from his solid season a couple of years ago, and is a terrible compliment to Okafor. Muhammed is a lot better fit admittedly, but his cost was MUCH higher than I'd pay. I don't see why we didn't just let Othella start?

Dumb? I think you are just being ignorant. I'm not putting money into the hands of those that hate America and Christians. Do you even understand what it means to be Muslim? Have you picked up a paper in the last seven years?

Obviously this trade will be judged on what Mohamed can bring to the table. Detroit is a pretty loaded team so he may have not had the kind of opportunity there that he will here.

Detroit is pretty loaded, so they're adding even more players? That makes no sense. Look, dude, stop making a fool of yourself by defending this trade. It's an obvious bad move and only a complete homer or a complete idiot would suggest otherwise. Just drop it.

I am not going to say Naza is going to turn the B-Cats into contenders but he was buried 4 deep on the bench in Detroit after they picked up Weber. He will get all the playing time he needs here. If he can get 6-9 rebounds a game allowing Emeka to play the 4 who knows. It's not like they gave away talent to get him. Primoz sucks. That and what have the B-Cats shown (outside of taking on Richardsons contract) that made anyone feel like they would go out and spend that 22 million of expiring contract?

They were not winning despite having added Richardson so it made sense to shake things up a bit. Who knows how well this will work out in the long run but I like the fact that they are trying.
