College football is an absolute joke...

Div. I anyways. I couldn't believe how much hype was in the ABC BCS special to try and make it interesting. Impossible task. Also impossible is to try and make any sense of it.

 

I think it's awesome. I don't understand why people think it's bad that there have been alot of upsets.

 

I don't think the upsets are bad either, but the BCS still has a ways to go in order to figure out who the best two teams are. I liked the earlier models that didn't depend on the polls so much.

And the Fox BCS special lost me about 15 minutes into it. Too much 'coming up next' and not enough results.

 

I love the upsets too. But in the end, it doesn't matter about wins and lossed, just money.

None of them deserve it. That's the problem they haven't had to face in a few years. But we're not arguing bubble teams in the big dance, it's millions of dollars that Mizzou is missing out on cuz they're not LSU or OSU. That almost seems illegal.

 

you can also throw in there that a guy at UCF is about to break Barry Sanders rushing record and isn't even mentioned for the Heisman Trophy. College Football is the epitome of America, all about popularity contests and money.

Kevin Smith

415 carries, 2448 yards, 5.9 avg, 29 touchdowns, 231 receiving yards. Helping his team to a 10-3 record, (single handedly beating NC State in the first half in Raleigh) all while earning honors in the class room.

He's already passed Marcus Allen and only 180 yards behind Barry Sanders and he's a JUNIOR. He's projected first round, so more than likely he will exit early, but it's pathetic he isn't even mentioned. (and yes, I don't care if it's in Conference USA, still very impressive)

 

He says he's coming back for his senior year.
