I'd be all over my Dawgs getting in, probably won't happen and shouldn't. but the BCS has just screwed itself this year.

Bulldogs were ranked higher then both the SEC championship teams.

No. If it was a situation like Nebraska a couple of years back where Georgia had fewer losses than anyone else but didn't win their conference, then they'd probably get in, but having the same number of losses as LSU when the Tigers won the conference clearly puts Georgia behind. Hell, they should be behind Oklahoma as well.

Only the major conference winners should have a chance.

The conference winners ranked in my priority order are:
    1. USC
    2. LSU
    3. Oklahoma
    4. Ohio St
    5. Va Tech

    My 5 cents.

are you implying that the Pac-10 is the best conference in the country? I'm not saying you are wrong or right, but just asking if thats what you mean.

Georgia and USC are the two hottest teams at the moment, nobody really wants to play them. Ohio State woul get killed worse in the Rose Bowl than they will in the Bullshit Championship Game.

No body deserves to get into the Championship game this year...because there isn't a semi-final game.

    Ohio State backs in... BULLSHIT.

Georgia has lost 2 and didn't win thier conference...although they are good enough to be there even though they lost 2.

LSU also lost two, but did win thier conference...still don't deseve to be in.

USC lost two but fought injuries all year and is probably the best team in the country in the real world

    WVU/Mizzou/Kansas all the same arguement...possers.

The arguement for a playoff has never had more fuel than this year.

I would love to see a Georgia / USC matchup in a playoff format.......that would be an amazing game, and I think that those two teams deserve the shot to prove they are the best teams in the nation....I think they are at this point.

I think that LSU deserves to go in our current BCS format because the two losses both came in triple overtime.

What reason do you have for saying that about USC besides their name and reputation? I know the media has been saying it, but the media is often wrong, and in this case I believe that they are. They did handle Arizona State, but I think they were somewhat overrated anyway. And I really don't think there is any reason to believe that the Trojans are better than Ohio State. Both teams played at Washington, but while USC barely escaped with a win, Ohio State destroyed the Huskies.
Both losses came in triple overtime against quality opponents. They haven't lived up to their hype necessarily, but it's pretty obvious that they're the most deserving of the 10-2 teams.
Again, I just don't see the justification for this statement.
If we had a playoff, there would still be a furious argument about who would get in and who would be left out.

    A playoff would prove it...

SEC simpathizers will always say that and maybe they do deserve it. Although, I don't see either LSU or OSU as the best two teams in the nation.
    A playoff would prove it...

The justification is the Bowl Championship Series is NOT a true championship series it's a series of trophies awarded and one given to a paper champion. There are always legit arguements for what two teams should get into the so called Championship game, that arguement would be better served if it were arguing who gets into the bracket. It's all about the money, always has been, but the money would stillbe there with a playoff system and it would be a legit championship series.

    A playoff would prove it...

Why? You said you think USC is the best team in the country right now, but they've had numerous close calls against some pretty mediocre or outright bad teams, and they lost to an awful team. If you want to give USC a pass for injuries, why not give Oregon a pass for theirs since they were clearly better than USC when they had Dixon? Also, a playoff wouldn't prove anything except who was better on one particular day.
What does that have to do with you saying that USC is the best team in the country right now? Personally I think that's a case of you yet again not having a clue what you're talking about, but just repeating something you heard on TV. I've watched USC and I didn't feel they were a powerhouse against UCLA or anyone else. They're good, but not great.
