I guess it's true what they say, Semper Fi really means "I was too dumb to go to college."

So by changing the subject I assume you admit you lied, it's OK to admit it and move on.

No, I was just pointing out that arguing with dumb people is a waste of time.

Even before you started stalking me I posted that I had lost my signal on several occasions over the years. I simply stated that it is a myth that rain will knock out your signal. It takes severe weather to do so.

You can try to twist and turn my posts anyway you want but anyone with a GED can figure out that you didn't read the entire thread and are making an ass out of yourself by stretching one comment of mine that you are choosing to take out of context.

I'm not worried about DirecTV when it comes to the rain. From my understanding its take heavy downpours to make a real dent. Here are my worries.

    • I want to be able to use my other TVs such as in my kitchen and my TV card on my PC without a set top box. With cable I'm able to view channels 2-78 like this.
    • I want all of my locals in HD. I've yet to see that there is a local HD channel for the CW on Direct
    • Cable has a better HD picture what would I sacrifice to change for more HD over top quality.
    • I've yet to see any real difference in price if you match the set up I currently have. I'd need two HD-DVR boxes and every channel including HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and Starz, and then I'd need 3 more regular boxes. (Those three are where I'm currently only using the direct Cable connection w/o box) Then factor in the price of my RoadRunner price going up an addition $10 because I no longer "bundle"

I heard just the opposite yesterday. An aquaintance who does custom high end system installs said they prefer and reccomend DirectTV for it's picture quality and that Best Buy, Circuit City etc. all use it to make their products look the best.

I don't know either way, just passing on what he said.

yeah, I've seen that site posted on a few different boards. I wonder if the stream will die like some UFC PPV's do when too many people watch it.

I'll probably find it on sopcast or TVU. This game will be as popular as some PPV's for people wanting to watch it for free. But fuck them, I can't even pay my cable company for a higher tier to watch it tonight.

Alright, I'll admit I was being an ass. I did take your one comment and go with it but I felt you were misleading people. After that I was just being an ass. :) Sorry. I have DIRECTV and would never switch back to cable. I rarely have outages with Directv but they can be caused by heavy clouds moving through as vell as HEAVY rainfall but they never last long and really only occur a few times a year.
