more than two bigtime FAs is a bit unrealistic, IMO. This regime or a new one.

The likelihood of midlevel guys, though, is certainly there. That's part of what we're missing from this year's FA bust.

Flozell Adams would be an upgrade on Wharton. I doubt he will break the bank at age 32 but who knows.

The Patriots do pay big money to free agents, but they are smart about who and why. Moss will be back in NE.

Samuel, on the other hand may not. He could get hit with the franchise tag again but that gets more expensive in year 2 and NE can probably get better value signing multiple players with the money they save on overpaying him. (see: Deon Branch, Ty Law, and so on...)

Someone will over pay for Samuel but probably not the Patriots.

what in the world makes you think that dallas clark wouldn't be a complete waste of money in this offense?

i have no faith in this staff utilizing a te in any way other than mostly blocking.

Well, according to the keep or cut thread, we will have plenty of cap room with only three players on the roster.:drummer:

it's not a given Clark would be playing for the present staff if he were to sign here.

    No Love for Michael Turner?

I figured a half of a dozen people would be nashing their teeth to try to get him here.

He'll cost a ton. Signing him would pretty much signal the Williams pick hasn't panned out as planned and then there's the cap hit for cutting or trading Foster also.
