If they want to speed it up, make them go for 2 starting with the 2nd possession.

The system, as it is, is patently ridiculous. Anyone that enjoys it is obviously too ignorant to understand the true intricacies, nay, the very nature, of the game of football. At the conclusion of regulation, the assembled sportswriters and broadcasters should vote on the winner based on the statistics accumulated during the preceding 4 quarters of competition.

I love the overtime format for college football. It's about as fair as you could possibly make it, and your chance to win doesn't hang in the balance of a coin toss to see who will get the first opportunity to score and end the game. I hate the NFL system and think it should be changed to the college format.

The only thing that needs to be fixed in college football is the BCS. Leave the overtime format alone, it's great.

I like the OT format for college, but not for the NFL. If a team is good enough, it's defense should be able to do something in OT besides play it safe. The college format makes sense for college games.

I think that once the game goes into OT you have to throw the actual score out the window and start counting like it's back yard football. the only way to get 7 points is score 7 touchdowns. I wouldn't be completely opposed to a rule where there are no kicks in OT. although, I like it just the way it is.

The games are entertaining the way they are. I really like the "go for two" rule. Defenses get so tired, that offenses at some point are given TDs. But then they have to make one more play.

Agreed. I love that feeling after a game like you've been witness to a freaking war, no matter who the teams are.

I like the college overtime format somewhat...but I think there needs to be some changes. I think 4 plays from the 25 is too close and too easy. And BTW...when the announcers say "4 plays from the 25" that's really not true because technically the offense can receive another first down inside the 10 if there is a defensive penalty or a series of plays that gain more than 10 yards.

My suggestion would be that they start from the 40 instead. That way not even a field goal is guaranteed to the offense like it is when starting at the 20.

25, but yeah, I see what you are saying. Although I don't know that it is easy to score touchdowns in the red zone.
