I thought coverage by the ST's were better overall--they gagged the last one that set up the Crumpler TD, but Robinson made some progress today. If that trend continues, then maybe Crossman can stay--otherwise, I agree, a new face at ST coach is needed.

Drops have been a bit of a concern, but our backs have been good enough overall. Williams has also struggled a bit more than Foster in getting the ideal of the zone scheme, it seems, since he's been pretty good at times outside formation. We need something better at RG, and I'm certainly not ready to move Bridges outside to take care of whatever high pick we'd put into the tackle spot. Bridges just isn't that good. I was specifically hoping for more out of Foster this week, but he's been solid. The idea that we need a superstar back isn't any more useful than the idea that if only one of our backs weighed 30 lbs more, we'd be unstoppable.

Which is fine. He doesn't have to be Favre. He has to be a guy that makes his throws, makes some plays, and leads us to wins. I'll take something better, but it takes a fuckload of effort to get better than he is.

Well, maybe Steve Spurrier will come back to the NFL and we can lose while being boring and angry. While I agree that I'd like to see us be more progressive on O, I'd rather win a game than it be fun.

I fucking hope so, he's the only other good end we have. Age is slowly catching up to him, but he still makes plays occasionally, and plays smart the whole game.

Hard to escape from "having gone a year without a home win"

Fox and hurney just haven't built a team and this is a good example. Rucker is done but we're "nice" and we'll keep him because they've added McClover, Johnson, and the guy from NFL Europe behind him and none of them are good enough.

Can we beat San Fransisco on Dec 2nd? cause I don't see us even sniffing a close game against Dallas, Seattle or New Orleans.

We looked like a can of smashed assholes today, especially on offense.

JR has never been patient once a coach has been given chances. Both out end of this year barring a remarkable turnaround.

An coach whose philosophy is not; ball-control run offense, win with defense.

The inherent problem with that philosophy currently, and really since Stephen Davis left, is that we don't have an offense that can control the ball. Part of the reason our third down conversion stats are so bad is we have so many third downs. I still like Fox, but we need an offensive minded coach.
