What's really amazing is our foresight....we were blaming our o-line last year...before Carr even got here! Amazing!

From the couple of games that I saw of the Bears last year, the offense did not project the lack of confidence that I see the Panthers have with Carr. The defense, maybe, but not the O. That, and their OLine is tougher than ours, and their running back tandem was pretty good. Not to mention that their defense was pretty darn good - much better than ours.

I agree with you in that Carr is not the sole reason for us losing - I know where you're coming from, but the defense played well enough for us to win - especially given that we had a couple of golden eggs in the Titans territory. Who knows if Testaverde would have played a better game - it really is a moot point. It's quite obvious that the players have no faith in the guy.

 

They did, and there were numerous articles about how the players themselves had no faith in Grossman and wanted Griese to take over. Again, whether or not a team likes a guy, respects a guy, or has faith in a guy is totally irrelevant. Lots of liked and respected guys suck balls, and some disliked assholes still find a way to win. I'm not blaming you, but fans just obsess on this kind of thing and PASSION! too much.

 

What OL player would want to ruin his rep by tanking because he doesn't like a guy? Millions are at stake, and it ain't the The Longest Yard out there.

 

At least Grossman had SOME good games,.Carr hasn't had one yet, and has shown no signs of having the ability to ever have a good game for the Panthers.


BTW, the earlier poster was right...Texans fans predicted long ago that Panthers fans would turn on their O-line and use them as an excuse for Carr's poor play. They're all laughing at people like Collin right now because alot of them tried the same arguments, but eventually figured out that it was the QB more than the O-line.

Having said that, our O-line did struggle a little bit against the Titans, who are very good BTW, but the QB can have an effect on them before the ball is snapped. In Davidson's offense, the QB is partly responsible for making sure the pass protection is sound before he takes the snap. Also, Carr could have changed up the snap count more to keep them from getting such a good jump, and to make them declare their defense before the snap instead of changing up at the last second, which they did quite a few times.
