You said it, although I understand why you're back-peddling. You said Moore is "going to throw some INT's" but that you're ok with that because at least he "makes a decision and fires the ball with authority."
It's amusing for you to claim so when I've proven you wrong at every turn and you haven't managed to prove yourself correct about anything. Carr has been pretty much exactly what I described him to be when we first signed him, and while I understand the frustration people get from seeing him not making big plays, it boggles my mind that no one seems to notice that he's also avoiding bad ones. I guess Jake has just conditioned Panthers fans to shrug off turnovers and to cherish big plays, while Carr is a very different type of quarterback.

I don't think that Carr is going to win games himself the way that Jake occasionally did, but he's also not going to lose games for us the way that Jake occasionally did. He's just a very safe, conservative quarterback, and while that's far from exciting, it's more than enough for good teams to win with. Unfortunately the Panthers are not a good team, which means that Carr isn't enough for this particular team.

Does anybody know what Collins' parents did to him that made him this way?

I've certainly earned that reputation, but it shouldnt discount everything I say. Thats the easy way out. I can promise you, Im numb now. Ive been numb the last two years. I dont get too wound up anymore.

I'm not one of the ones here saying the sacks are his fault. Some were, some werent. But I also never said the INT was ok because Moore LOOKED confident, so lets clear that up. My point was that the more daring a QB gets, the more chance there is of a pic, and Im perfectly willing to take that trade off.

Why not though? Seriously. We dont honestly know what Moore can do. I mean, Im pretty sure he'll make his share of mistakes and turn the ball over plenty. But he's shown that he can move the ball. I dont know enough about Matt Moore to know. I DO KNOW THIS though. David Carr is not good enough, and he doesnt have the confidence of the team.

That sentiment, I believe, is correct, hes not ready. But he's young. ANd David Carr is not good enough. And Collin, you're one of the smarter dudes here. You and I both know that youre a top guy, and people here listen to you. You have a responsibility, as a guy who posts here a lot, like Magnus, to not get too emotionally hooked on guys. I was furious with Magnus when he was like this with Seifert. And I know Im waaaay too anti Trgo, but I seldomly post, and dont have the responsibility you do. You have to be intellectually honest her and realize youre doing this with David Carr now. He's become something to prove with you, but it's time that you come off of this. I'm not understanding your fierce defense of David Carr.

End this now, please. You WAY too smart for this shit.

Not when the result is nothing. Being careful is fine, unless the net gain is what its been.

The question should be good enough. THe answer, to me anyhow, is clear, and its no.

He threw it right to the fucking safety. If you're going to "take a chance" in that situation, fine, but at least throw it up within 50 yards of a white jersey.

Oh shut the fuck up already, B. :13: Earlier youre all for starting Moore, and now youre bitching.

He made a mistake, sure. It was a bad throw. But we have no idea if he thought a route was going another way or not. Couldve been miscommunication. Listen....choose a thought and stay with it for a while.

    have you read him before?

    agreed.

Too young, IMO. He's been OK under fire, but excitable. You find a way around that, and you can at least make some rope throws downfield. Which, if Carr struggled but did that, I'm fine with that. The deep throws Carr made were a start, but getting them within ten yards of the receiver isn't a bad thing.

    Best of luck.

No sir. I said we might as well put Moore in, being down by 20, but that was right before Tennessee imploded with penalties and Carr threw the TD to Carter. I never said we should start Moore.

If by conditioned you mean I expect to be able to throw for greater than 100 yards with relative ease, you are correct, I have been conditioned as such. David Carr makes each and every passing yard look like he is trying to shit a watermelon, it takes such effort.
