How good was Henning without an efficient Qb, though?

He looked better than the panthers have for the past 6 quarters.

We won without much of a running game in '05, but that was Smith's breakout year. Now we're not even getting him the ball. Some of that falls on Davidson. I'm betting that most of it falls on the QB.

4 of those were with Carr...the first quater of those 6 was the 11 minute drive for a TD...can't complain about that

I bet he is too. I had problems with Henning as an OC, but at least he was an OC. This is the 2nd game the announcers have said the plays don't seem to have any kind of plan behind them. It may be more. I was at 2 of the games, and never watched by recording.

Note, the solution was not to keep Henning, I don't think. It was to get a legit OC who was better.

What the fuck happened to the screen play? We were talking big, and how we installed a new screen everyday in practice during training camp. You'd think when the team is blitzing the shit out of you, it'd be effective. Although I am forgetting we are the worst screen team in the history of football

He looked better than this with a good QB, and he looked this bad last year with a good QB that was getting him a lot more yardage than this.
He looked about this bad with the other QBs. I can't fault Davidson for Carr being this gunshy. Davidson's had his issues too, but we made plays passing with Jake.
