It was a Bobcat win. Remarkable.

I've never seen an NBA team miss 20+ free throws and still win. Except for maybe the Shaq era Lakers. Strong outing for Felton and Wallace.

If you did not watch the game and you looking and the score you think omg the Bobcats just won by 3.But if you look at the Box score you are saying to yourself that cats could should have won by 14 or more.If the Cats can start making free throw and assuming that they can stay healthy then is no reason why they make the playoff.BTW why is just me or did Steve Martin said that tonight was bobcats first ever win at home on home opener. This is not true because last year first home game of the season against the Celtics Cats won it in OT.Anyway i know it just his first game of the season as a cat But i got to say that I really like what i sow from Jason Richardson tonight .he did keep Michael Redd in cheek hope that i spell it right.Anyway here is an idea next time that bobcats have the lead and they need to put the game away By making free throws Put Matt Carroll in the game and give him the ball and make sure that he get foul.He shot over 90% last year from the free throw

    1) Just because those players were already here, it doesn't negate the fact that they coughed up the cash to keep them

    2) Richardson may as well have been a FA - they traded a draft pick for him

    3) Who do you think they should have signed? It wasn't until last year that they had full use of the salary cap. Here's a list of the 2007 Free Agents

Carter and Billups re-signed and the Magic WAAAAY overpaid for Lewis. The only guy I would have like to have seen them go after was Milicic, though he got a fairly big contract.

And for optimism, we had 3 guys who scored 20+, and another who scored 17 (and would have had 20 if he had hit half his FTs)

Bobcats actually played really well last night, much better than the final score indicated - if they had hit 75% of their FTs the win would have been by double figures.

Omeka should come in early for free throw practice. 3/13 is brutal.

That's not even relevant since the Bobcats remained so far below even their lesser cap that they almost went below the minimum allowed. They had room to sign someone any of their seasons, they've just steadfastly refused to do so. And in terms of this past off-season, I'm no expert on the NBA and it looks like most of those guys were wing players that the team didn't need (although Mason would have been nice), but Milicic didn't get a ridiculous amount of money. He's precisely the kind of skilled big man the Bobcats needed, although admittedly not as physical as what they'd want. Is there any indication that the front office even inquired about any free agents?

I thought they looked pretty good last night. Like has been said already if they had not been so horrible at the free throw line they would have won by atleast ten points.

Wallace and Richardson seem to compliment one another pretty well. Felton and Okafor had pretty strong games as well. I was surprised to see McGhinnis get so many minutes but it seemed to be working for them. Okafor and Bogut's duel was fun to watch.

This is the first time I have watched the majority of a Bobcats game. I saw the whole second half and most of the first quarter.

They have not pursued any free agents other than their own that I know of. Still they have a decent starting line up. They are thin especially inside but they are not a talentless team. If they add another solid free agent or draft pick next year they are going to be a contender in the east.

Everybody keeps saying this as if other teams don't improve as well. The Bobcats picked up Richardson but are picked to finish even worse in the East. Why? Because most of the other teams in the East got better this off-season too.
