I have been hearing rumors that the Cubs would trade A. Ramirez to the Yanks for prospects if they sign ARod

no, he's not, but Tampa Bay would like to trade him and get something for him before he becomes a free agent after this season. I've also heard J.D. Drew's name come up in cubs talks.

Crawford won't be a free agent until 2011. Tampa Bay holds club options for $8.25 million in '09 and $10 million in '10.

Chicago radio 720AM just reported that there is an offer on the table for Crawford that would send Pie, Cedeno, Marshall & Gallagher to the Rays. It is expected that this deal may get done as soon as Monday.

Won't happen without a better pitcher included, and probably not even then. This "story" is being driven by Chicago talk radio, as all the national media have been reporting that there's nothing to it.
