Hmmmmmmmmm, I heard that the team is calling season tix holders and asking them to buy more tixs . . . . I think they would sell more tixs if they would do a little bit more adveritising (TV/radio/print)  . . . I guess their marketing budget took a big cut for the upcoming season also.

Piss poor way of marketing your team especially after making somewhat of a splash when they got Richardson from the Warriors.

I am curious to see how good the team is this year. Richardson and Wallace might feed off one another's game and be a strong pairing or they may just replicate each other and have little impact. Will Okafor stay healthy and out of foul trouble? Will Felton mature and have a bigger impact with two solid wing players to pass to? Will guys like Carol and Hermmann be able to take up the slack created when Morrison went down? Will Brezec do anything?

We need new ownership. Johnson is too tight with money to own a pro franchise.

    See, this is stupid.

They spent the money to keep Carrol and Wallace. They traded what would have been a pretty cheap rookie for a guy making 9 or 10 million a year.

They haven't spent lavishly, but they've been smart. Who do you think they should have spent cash on?

I guess they are having trouble selling out the arena.

They were handing out $10 off coupons in Founder's Hall @ lunch today - I was able to get 5 upper level tickets at half court.

I'm not too upset because I got good seats for cheap. Maybe they'll have enough people buy tickets at the window to mostly fill the place up.

Im pretty curious to see the team with the addition of Richardson, and the progression of Wallace,Felton,Okafor...not to mention how is Vincent going to be as a coach. Hopefully they can pick up where they left off last season. fun, hard working team to watch.

Carroll and Wallace were already here, so that didn't make the team better. And while Richardson was a good move, the Bobcats still have not signed one free agent of any consequence. Not spending money is better than spending it stupidly, but they still could have added another guy and didn't. Then again, judging by the total lack of marketing I'm not even sure that Johnson cares about generating excitement.

Right now they have a coach whose biggest accomplishment was with the Nigerian women's team, two lottery picks out for the season, and a ranking of 14th out of 15 Eastern Conference teams by SI. It isn't exactly a recipe for optimism.

I think they have enough talent to be competitive this year. Wallace is a star in the making. His contract might start to look like a bargain soon. Him and Richardson should make this a very athletic team especially for the east. If they want to run those two and Felton should allow them to do that effectively. The problem they have is being thin inside. Another good big man would make them pretty tough.

I am not sure about Vincent but I will give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves to be a moron.

Im realistic...the injuries and lack of inside presence will make it tough for them to compete right now.but theres 7 months of ball to be played, other teams in the east can get injured..blah, blah , blah.....its too early to predict the future

bottom line for me is that if Im going to watch the NBA on a semi-regular basis , Im going to watch the hometown team and not the same 6-7 teams that are force fed on espn..heat ,lakers, etc
