    damn, wow.

even better, in what is arguably the most important game in a series, we've got schills on the mound. i'm liking it so far.

rockies pitchers threw 197 pitches in eight inngs of work. that's incredible. 114 strikes, 83 balls. I think they threw more balls than Beckett threw total pitches in seven innings.

It took them 180 pitches to get the first 18 outs. That is incredible.

They tied the 82 year old record for extra base hits in a WS game (9) in the 5the inning.

Over the last 4 playoff games the Sox have outscored the Indians and Rockies 43-6.

and what's fucked up is that's only the second largest cumulative margin of victory for a four games in a postseason. The Braves are first, in 1996.

game 5 NLCS vs. St. Louis: 14-0
Game 6 NLCS vs. STL: 3-1
Game 7 NLCS vs. STL: 15-0
Game 1, WS, vs. NYY: 12-1

    total: 44-2 (plus 42)

Congrats, but does it even feel that special? The WS just seemed anti-climactic.

    Yes, it is very gratifying.

While winning the AL pennant is much more difficult, no one remembers pennant winners for very long.

Plus, it was 86 fucking years - you think I'm gonna start taking this for granted?

Congrats BoSox. Dominating performances in 2 of the 4 games, and the ability to win the tight ones in the other 2.

Lester was damn special to watch, considering all he's gone through, and Lowell as MVP was good too.

I like watching good teams--Boston was a great team all year.

Saox can't take the Rockies in a best of 9.
