It's the second time I've heard that sillyness today. Why the hell can't you eat chili and soup all year 'round?

that's how my traditional Boston clam chowder is made...substituting clams for beef and clam juice for beef broth of course.

it's got some fucking cabbage in it...that's for sure.

Bag of frozen mixed vegetables, couple potatos cubed, half a head of cabbage, enough beef stock, stew meat.

Brown the meat, add veg and potato, add stock and simmer for hours. Add cabbage about half hour before service...spot on. :gordonramsey:

right about that soup weather - Fancy made a big ol pot of it today.

(we did not use the yank-lou recipe)

don't know exactly how she made it but know it had a couple lbs ground beef, frozen veggies, a few left over veggies, onions, diced tomatoes, potatoes, can of tomato sauce, sea salt, garlic, pepper, chicken broth

mighty damn tasty - had garlic toast instead of cornbread.

I made chilli last weekend - it was good eats too

My homemade soups never turn out exactly the same way twice because I always add a few different ingredients, depending on what I have at the time.

    But they're ALWAYS good

There's something especially good about soups & chili when the weather turns colder. Comfort food.
