Sounds like Tennessee offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe wasn't too impressed with the defense Alabama played during Saturday's 41-17 victory.

Among the gems from Tuesday's press gathering in Knoxville ...

    - "I felt like we could have scored 40 or 50 points in that game if needed."
"We stopped ourselves, really, for the most part."
    - "You take really five or six plays out of it, I felt like we could score really every time we got the football."

Thank goodness you didnt score 40 -50 points, ol'dave. We dont like close games.

I am glad he 'felt' that way. But his team didn't do it. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I would hope that someone at the press conference pointed out that he did need it and asked him why they didn't get it.

It would have to be women's soccer. They don't field a men's team.

    You're welcome

Well, Alabama's defense does suck balls. Tennessee's offense was just worse.

    Ah ye of little faith.

We are obviously a better team at home than on the road, particuarly defensively. Not that we are good defensively at home, Gamecocks shot themselves in the foot, but we make some plays. That's typical for a young, offensive minded college team.

This team doesn't have the overwhelming talent that the great Fulmer teams had. The 2001 team has 6 players starting on NFL teams at least once this year now, the 98 NC team has seven nine year vets still starting.

There aren't any seniors that I see as top of the line, first round pick players on this team.

As for Cut, drink a frostly glass of STFU. We had some chances early in the second vs bama, and the offense let the gamecocks back in the game. There was some questionable play calling in those games, particuarly vs bama.
